This unique handcrafted wooden pen stand set features a charming pair designed as a traditional couple, blending functionality with artistic expression. Each holder is beautifully painted with expressive facial details—the male with a classic mustache and the female adorned with traditional jewelry and a bindi—reflecting rich cultural artistry.

Materials Used

  • Wood: Traditionally made from Hale wood / Ivory wood  which is lightweight, soft, and easy to shape. 
  • Lacquer Coating: Natural lacquer (lac) is applied while the wood spins on a lathe to create the glossy finish.
  • Polishing: Palm leaves and sandpaper are used for smooth finishing and shine.

Colour Details

The colours are usually made from natural vegetable dyes, making the toys safe and non-toxic for children.
